FM 145

Good Morning Everyone!! Today's Friday Mashup Challenge is brought to us by Sara. It's a sketch and sponging!.

Here's your Mashup Challenge:
  1. Create a project with "Sketch."
  2. Create a project using some "Sponging"
  3. Or Mash it Up and create a project with "Sponging using the Sketch."

It seems like I always take the sketch and flip it on it's side.

Here's my card.

For the sponging technique, I took a piece of paper, put it in my 2 1/2 scallop punch. I then used this scalloped paper as a mask and sponged around it to create the cloud look. Just layer the mask and sponge several times. I then stamped the giraffe, alligator and bird from Zoo Babies and finished with the sentiment (Baby, We've Grown) and the button. If you don't have Zoo babies, I think it would be a great investment. I love this stamp set.

Now it's time for you to take the challenge and Mash it up!!

Happy Stamping

Introducing...The Princess Package!!

Introducing, the Princess Package!!!

At the risk of sounding like an "info-mercial"  here it goes.

Do you ever look through the catalog at all the cute embellishements and ribbon and think, "They're really cute, but I'm not sure how to use them"

Sometimes I feel this way and I decided it would be fun to create a monthly program where I pick a few different accessories that work together and create some cards.

I wanted to share this with you so I am introducing

The Princess Package

This is a monthly subscription program that will help you to collect accessories( ie: buttons, ribbon, embellishments etc.) and learn how to use them. Each month you will receive 3-4 accessories plus a bonus project. In addition to the accessories, each month you will receive 3 handmade cards to give you inspiration. Also included is a full color PDF ( it will be emailed to you), with photos, measurements and supply list for each card. This gives you the opportunity to create lots of cards using your own cardstock and new accessories.
Please keep in mind, this is NOT a card kit.

Each month in the mail, you'll receive:
  • 3-4 accessories valued between $2.95-$6.95
  • 3 Handmade cards using featured accessories to give you inspiration
  • A full color PDF: measurements & instructions to complete cards.
  • On your first month you'll receive Stampin' Up's current main catalog
  • All the supplies to make a bonus project using your new accessories!

The Princess Package is
$30 a month. This includes shipping.

Twinkle, Twinkle, little star....

Good morning everyone!! Welcome back for this week's Friday Mashup challenge. I really liked this one. Today's challenge is

Here's your Mashup Challenge:
  1. Create a project with "Stars."
  2. Create a set of "Thank you Cards with Matching Envelopes".
  3. Or Mash it Up and create a set of "Thank you Cards & Envelopes using Stars."

I love working with stars and since this challenge included envelopes, I decided that I would look through my DSP to find the perfect match. Here is my card up close,

First I used the Polka Dot Parade DSP as a background and to punch the little banners.(Spoiler alert, you can't get that little banner punch for FREE starting the 28th of January. Details to come.)
Next, I used the Simply Stars stamp set, to stamp my stars and yes, I had to cut them out by hand. Last, I added a little bow of baker's twine. The greeting comes from Really Good Greetings.

Now for the drum roll please........................

Here is the whole ensemble!!

Aren't they so bright and cheery? To make the envelopes I used SU's Envelope punch board. It's super easy to make any size envelope you want with that thing.

Now it's your turn, to head over to The Friday Mashup to "star" in the show.

Happy Stamping!!!

Happy Heart Day

Good Morning Everyone!! It's Friday and it's also my birthday today so it's a great day. Today's Friday Mashup is gettting us in the mood for Valentines day. Can you believe it's less than a month away?
I really liked this challenge. Hearts & Arrows!!!

Here's your Mashup Challenge:
  1. Create a project using the Colors "Coastal Cabana, Real Red & Crumb Cake."
  2. Create a project using "Hearts & Arrows. "
  3. Or Mash it Up and create a project using "the above colors along with Hearts & Arrows."

So I thought, and I thought and I thought some more and finally................................
I came up with this card. I knew that I wanted to used hearts and the color challenge.
Sew this is my card,

Did anyone catch my little pun up there? I did some sewing on this card!! Have you ever tried to sew on paper? Believe me, it is way easier than sewing on fabric. Anyway, there were so many cute, fun patterns in the Fresh Prints DSP stack that it was hard to choose just a couple.
Now it's your turn, head over to the Friday Mashup and see where your "heart" leads you!!

Thanks for stopping by and Happy Stamping!!
