Kinda, fun and scrappy!

So this card uses a Project Life Card. I did what we call collage stamping with the different stamps in this set. I love the sentiment "A little Kindness goes a long way" I really do believe this.

As part of the requirements for the display samples, we needed to create a few scrapbook pages. I love how this one turned out. It's always amazing to see all the different ways you can use things. I really like how I used the starburst and punched it out with a scallop circle. The creativity never ends!!!

Ahoy, it's Amazing Birthday!!!

It's time for some more Amazing Birthday. This stamp set is so versatile. I really, really like how this card turned out. The color scheme is fresh, but different.

Next we have the same stamp set used on a scrapbook page. Once again, the versatility of this stamp set is awesome. This isn't a birthday page at all, but the saying, "Make Today Ridiculously Amazing" still works!

Thanks for stopping by and Happy Stamping!!

Seasonally Scattered

Seasonally Scattered was a stamp featured in the Holiday Catalog. I found this stamp set to be extremely difficult to work with. It was hard for me to "think outside the box" with this one.

I am pleased with what I came up with however.

The Stamp set had a "thanks", "Merry" and "Love" in it. This one is probably my favorite by far. Once again, I also used the 2014-2016 In Colors. I love how they lend themselves towards fall.

Kinda Ecletic!!

Today's featured stamp set is Kinda Eclectic!

So I have to admit, I was afraid of this stamp set when I first saw it. It's not my style, but I decided to jump in and see what I could create. This card turned out to be one of my favorite.

I decided I really like the butterfly images in this stamp set. I also love the rainbow look. It just shouts happy and cheerful!!

Convention 2014 Display Stamper!!

So as I've been going through things, I realized that I've never posted my display samples from Convention 2014 last year. I thought over the next few days, I would show you my samples. It was a such a fun opportunity to create with product that was brand new and never before viewed. Most of it is retired product now, but you'll still get the viewing pleasure.

We were given three different stamp sets to use.

Today's stamp set is Amazing Birthday

When I saw this stamp set and how well it coordinated with the banner framelits, I just knew I had to make a birthday banner.

Up close detail of the different parts.

The colors are the 2014-2016 In Colors. Those little paper clips were my favorite. So sad they're gone.:(

Very Fun!!

Project Life 12x12

Good Afternoon! I apologize for my absence. I got very sick last week and couldn't quite get my ducks in a row. Anyway, I'm doing much better and hope to get back into the swing of things.

Today's post is showcasing the 12x12 project life.

As you can see, it's a very simple thing to get your pictures into a format where they can be viewed by all. I mostly used pictures with a couple of journaling cards in there.

This one is of my daughter playing at a children's museum with her brothers. Once again very simple, yet fun to look at.

There are many different layouts to choose from. If you purchase the Variety Pack, it gives you lots of different options.

This picture is to show you that even though you may be someone who loves to do regular scrapbook layouts, you can easily incorporate your 12x12 PL into the regular book.

Project Life is perfect for those random pictures that you have sometimes. They don't quite have a home because there may be only one or two.

I would recommend you give it a try. You just might find you really like it.

Thanks for stopping by and

It's a catalog open house!!

One of my most favorite times of the year is when we have a new catalog come out! I love to look through a brand new catalog. I don't know how you do it, but I first look at all the stamp sets. Then I go back through it again and look at the accessories. Then it's through a third time for all of the beautiful samples and so on and so on.

Today was my catalog open house. Of course, we handed out catalogs and drooled over them. We also had two make n takes that I provided to showcase new product.

To introduce the new 2015-2017 In Colors, we made this book mark. It was cased from Carrie Cudney who is a Stampin' Up Home office big wig. It features the new In colors as well as a new stamp set and some beautiful lace ribbon.
SPOILER ALERT: The "flag" at the end of the bookmark is PERFECT!!!! It really gives a nice PUNCH don't you think?

Our second project was a card. When I saw this stamp set, I was in LOVE!!! It is such a cute stamp set and I'm sure there are so many things you can do with it. This card also shows us some new Washi Tape and some new DSP.

Have a great day!

Flower Pot Princess

When I first saw the 2014-2015 catalog, the Flowerpot DSP was the first thing I wanted to buy. I have loved, loved, loved this paper. It makes for a really fun scrapbook page.

I love the vibrant colors of this DSP. Everything about it makes me happy.

Funny Girl, describes this little girl perfectly. She loves everything her brothers do. Of course she couldn't resist playing the piano with them.

In these pictures, she is wearing a hat my brought back from Peru. She absolutely loves it. Also as a side note, see how I took the image of the rose from the DSP and make my journaling flower to look just like it.

Have a great day and Happy Stamping!

Toothless in Seattle

It's time for another Project Life page. It really is amazing how many little things happen during your month that make such a fun thing to remember. Both of my boys needed some teeth to be pulled. (Yeah for them.) Anyway, I thought to myself as I was comfortably standing that this was a Project Life moment.

I realize as I look at this page, that there's another subject I need to address first. The top picture is of my daughter. This is the perfect reason why I like project life so much. This is a picture of her right after we made our first batch of brownies together. I let her lick the spoon. After I saw how dirty her face was, I took a picture to send to may husband. I realized later that if it wasn't for Project Life, I probably wouldn't remember this picture. There's not enough pictures to do an entire scrapbook layout so this was perfect.

Here are the pictures of my boys with their teeth. They did such a great job. It was funny to watch them afterwards. Because their mouths were numb, they would try to smile and would look goofy.

To the "Best Dad Ever"

Of course this post is totally about my husband..... just kidding. Although he is the best dad ever, this post is actually about a father's day card. As you all know, we celebrate Father's Day is June. I came across this card on Pinterest. It's cased from Diane Barnes. You can see her original post here.

This is such a cute card. I love how you take the hexagon punch to make a "nut". The trick is to use the 1/2 inch circle, punch it first and then center the hexagon punch around the circle.

I also changed things up and used some of the silver foil paper to make some "nuts". The "best dad ever" stamp is from And Many More.

To the Newlyweds

June is the month of weddings. Believe me, my parents fridge is covered in wedding announcements. I new that my ladies would appreciate a wedding card so I had to come up with one. Once again, I wanted to use a retiring stamp set. I decided on Mixed Bunch. This stamp set was so hot when it was first released.

I really like this card because it has kind of a early 1900's look. The paper is from the paper pack All Abloom. "For the Newlyweds" is from Teeny Tiny Wishes. I also featured Strawberry Slush and Pistachio Pudding card stock.

Tag It!

So every month I host a card club where my ladies come and make 3 projects. This month I wanted to focus on all the stuff that is retiring. We also have a theme this session which is Everything birthday.

I find that sometimes, especially when my kids have a birthday party, that I just need a tag. I thought it would be fun if we made three different tags.

Here they are together. I used the Cycle Celebration stamp set. This is such a cute stamp set, but I don't think I used it as much as I would have like to.

Our first tag features baloons made with the small oval punch (retired) and the stamp set Amazing Birthday. We also focused on all the chevron ribbon that is being retired.

This second tag is unique because it's too big to fit in the tag topper that I used on the other two tags. So to make it look like a tag, I actually used the envelope punch board and punched the edge of the paper with the board. I also cut some of the Sweet Taffy DSP and used the fringe scissors to make it look like grass.

Our last tag is probably my favorite. I love this stamp in the Cycle Celebration stamp set. It was fun to use the candles as a background and then I finished it off with the "celebrate a SWEET birthday".

Another Project Life

Today's post is really quick. It's another 6x8 Project Life by Stampin' Up page.

This is one of my favorite pages. It's so simple yet stunning. I start with the picture and picked my color scheme from the flowers. I then took a 3x4 card that already had the calendar on it and stamped all the days in February that something important happened.

The great thing about Project Life is that you don't always have to use the cards either. You can just put pictures in like I did on this page. I just print my pictures out as 4x6 and then cut them down to size.

That's all for today. Thanks for stopping by!

Happy Birthday.... again!

So like everyone, I have a stash of cards that I go to when I don't have time to make a card and need one really quick. I found this card in that stash. I actually made it last year for my son's birthday and then I forgot to give it to him.

So the DSP and stuff on it may be retired, but it's such a cute card that I decided it was still worth a show.

I believe this DSP was in the 2014 Occasions Catalog. Sorry I don't have the name of it. However, I love the color scheme and the way it all pull together. Just a simple little birthday card.

That's it for today. Thanks for stopping by and

Project Life by Stampin' Up!

Ok, it's time to talk about a subject that is very near & dear to my heart. MEMORY KEEPING. I have been a scrap booker since I was 16 years old. I feel very strongly that our children NEED to see themselves in pictures and books. Now I'm not saying they have to be fancy, I'm just saying that it's import for children to know they aren't just floating around in cyber space or on your phone.

That having been said, I introduce to you PROJECT LIFE by Stampin' UP. I know that Project Life has been around sometime, but Stampin' Up has finally joined the family. It's like peanut butter and jelly if you ask me. It's taken me some time to figure out Project Life, but I think I'm starting to get a grip on it and can I just say, I LOVE it.

In this post I am focusing on the 6x8 Project Life album. I had a hard time at first deciding if I wanted to do this size or the 12x12. In the end, I decided on both for different reasons.

In my 6x8 album I have decide to focus on things that happen during each month. Mostly likely they little things that the kids do or that we celebrate. However, they are also events that don't usually have enough pictures to do an entire page like holidays and birthdays. Plus there's just a different feel to the way you "keep your memories" with Project Life.

As you can see, I started in January of 2015. This page shows our gender reveal to our kids. My daughter is holding the letter that the ultra sounds tech wrote the baby's gender on. This was a very simple page to make. I believe I used the "Happiness Is" kit from Stampin' Up. (It retires June 2, and it's 50% off!!)

Stay tuned for some more posts of Project Life by Stampin' Up. I love this system and it feels GOOD to get something accomplished like this. Thanks for stopping by and

Happy Mother's Day!!

I wanted to show you the card I made for my mom. She's actually in my stamp club and made the first Mother's Day card we did. I decided I couldn't give her the same one she'd already made so I came up with a different one.

Cycle Celebration

So I'm very excited today to share my little sister's birthday card with you. I guess I shouldn't call her "little" she is an adult after all, but she's still little to me none the less. Anyway, I decided to use Cycle Celebration which is retiring at the end of this month. Don't forget to check out the retired list here. The bike in this set reminded me of her because she loves to bike.

Isn't this such a fun, bright card? The DSP is Sweet Taffy. Also used were the Labels framelits, Brights Buttons & Candy Dots.

Geez, this card is starting to remind of Willie Wonka's candy store with all the colors, sweet taffy, candy dots.........

Anyway, thanks for stopping by today to check it out.

Happy Stamping!

In A Galaxy far, far, away......

Welcome everyone to May 4th, 2015. You all know what today is right?
It's "May the 4th be with you" Day!!
That's right if you're a Star Wars fan you knew that. If you didn't, that's ok too. I have a son who loves Star Wars so I decided I would make him a card to celebrate the occasion! He was planning activities all weekend for today.

Since I don't really have any Star Wars stamp sets, I knew I would have to use punch art. I also knew that Star Wars and Angry Birds had met so this seemed like the best option to make a card.

It took me a while to get it right and believe it or not, the hair was the hardest part. I found an image online and that's what I copied. I also like the "starburst" feature because I think it looks like the "lightspeed" that you see in Star Wars.

I didn't have time today to make a picture of the different pieces I used on the bird, but I will list the punches.
Body- 2 " circle
Clothes- 1/2 of a wide oval with a little niche punched out with the small oval. A strip of Soft suede for the belt and glitter paper for the buckle.
Hair- It's half of a 1 3/4" circle. I used my fringe scissors to get the waves just right! The eyebrows are just small scraps that I trimmed to be the right size.
Eyes- The White part if the bigger circle in the Owl builder punch and then I just colored in the black part.
Beak- I cut a small square and folded it on the diagonal.

I think it turned out pretty cool. My son was super excited to see it. So it only feels appropriate that as I sign off , I must say

MAY THE 4TH BE WITH YOU!!!
