Mojo Monday 313

Good Morning Everyone!! It's Monday today and it's time for another sketch. A
Mojo Monday sketch that is. Today's card is very clean & simple,
something that I usually struggle with.

Wouldn't you love to give this to some little baby? I love using the "I Am Me" DSP with baby stuff. The colors are so soft and fun. Get your Monday off to a good start by heading over to Mojo Monday.

Happy Stamping!!

Triple Fall

So I was looking on Pinterest for a card idea and I found a picture where someone had taken leaves (paper ones) and written what they were grateful for on them. They then took them and hung them on a strip with clothes pins. It was adorable. Since we have all those little cloths pins in the Tag A Bag Accessory kit, I thought it might be fun to use some.

The color combo is Cajun Craze, Crushed Curry & Bermuda Bay (love it!!) I embossed the Cajun cardstock with the wood grain embossing folder. The stamp sets are Wonderfall & A Dozen Thoughts. Here's a tip when you're using the Wonderfall Stamp set with the matching die. Cut the shapes out first, then lay them on top of the stamp. I use a clear block to push down firmly so that the ink transfers.

Happy Stamping!!

Apples to Apples

Ok, so I can't get enough of this canning stamp set. Yesterday, when I put my little girl in this shirt, I knew I had to make another fruit card.

This was my color and design inspiration:

I also used a Mojo Monday sketch

Do a little "apple turnover" with the sketch and.......

Doesn't it look Yummy just like the card says? As you can see from the picture of the shirt, I needed a really bright green, the closest thing I could find was yet another retired color,
"Kiwi Kiss". I loved this color and was glad to have a reason to use it again.

I also used the window sheet from the Quatrefancy DSP because I didn't want to take away from the background of the apples.

I hope today you have "Yummy Stamping"

Septemer Card Club

Last week was a crazy week for me. I had my monthly card club. We usually make 2 cards and 1 3-D item, but this month, we focused on boy birthday cards.

First up was a card we made using the new Thinlits Card Dies from Stampin' Up. These dies are fun to use. They cut the paper so that the little ambulance will flip around. The other side says, Happy Birthday. Some of my ladies thought this would be better as a "Get Well" card.

This card would work great for an older child. I can't stress enough how much I love washi tape. This combo is the Epic Day This & That. In addition to the Rev Up the Fun stamp set, I also used the Gorgeous Grunge stamp set. Another must have.

Last, I want to make sure I give proper credit where credit is due. I saw this card on Pinterest and knew that my ladies would love it.  Rae Burnet from Wild West Paper Arts is the creator of this little cutie! Check out the original here.

Go ahead, scream. You know you want too. He was so much fun to make. I used the Shaker Frames from SU to make his little goggle and I embossed the large pearls with black to make the buttons on his overalls.

Isn't paper crafting so much fun?

Have a great day and Happy Stamping!

Family Reunion!!

Today's card was like going to a family reunion!! I pulled out some of my old favorites and made this beautiful card. Oh Lucky Limeade, how I miss you.
It's also inspired by The Friday Mashup Challenge.

Don't you just love that "Bermuda Bay" truck with the pumpkins in back?

As part of my "family reunion" I also pulled out my canning stamp set and matching framelits. It was so fun to play once again.

Here's the finished result

Colors are: Island Indigo, Lucky Limeade, More Mustard, Cajun Craze, & Raspberry Ripple
The stamp is Perfectly Preserved (retired) & matching framelits.

I challenge you to play the Friday Mashup Challenge and see what your reap.

Happy Stamping!!

Pals Paper Arts Challenge

Halloween is my most favorite holiday. I love that it's in the fall, I love the costumes, I love the decorations and I love the treats. I realized that I don't send a lot of Halloween cards so today I decided to use the Pals Paper Arts challenge to make a cute treat bag.

This is today's sketch.

Here's my treat bag. Isn't it cute? You could make this for friends, co-workers or even school teachers. I used the Witches Brew DSP, Tags 4 You stamp set and some embellishments from the Halloween Accessory Kit. Let's also give a shout out to that chevron ribbon. Woot! Woot!
I love this stuff.

I'm not sure what I'll put in it yet, but I can't wait to give it away.

Happy Stamping Today!

Tag A Card

Good Morning Everyone!! I must admit that today's cards are not original. I am part of a great group called the Stamper's Xpress and Missy Shipman who also belongs to that group shared these with us. She made some beautiful tags using the Tag A Bag Accessory Kit. I loved what she did, but I needed some cards for a class, so I just took her tags and put them onto cardstock. They turned out nice!!

So I am doing this as a class. The cost is $20 and they will make 10 different cards, 3 with the mosaic shape, 3 with the flower and 4 with the butterfly. Envelopes are also included. If you're looking for something easy to do, this is the class for you. It was some basic stamping and then you just assemble everything together.

If you  have any questions, leave them in the comments.

Thanks & Happy Stamping!!

A Bicycle Built for.... Thanks Big TIme!!!

Don't you just love this old fashioned bicycle? Ahhh..... how the days must have been to travel around on your bicycle. Anyway, we still enjoy it through stamping. Today's card comes from another sketch challenge, Tuesday Morning Sketches.

Here's the sketch

I really like the way this card turn  out. It's simple, yet speaks of an older time. I used, the Etcetera DSP, Brown Baked Sugar CS and some candy dots. You can't see it very well in the picture, but there is dazzling details on the swirls in the wheels. It's a fun little extra.

Happy Stamping!

It's Monday and that means MOJO!!

Hello Everyone!! Today's Monday and the mojo was on!!! Sometimes I struggle so much to make a card, but today it just came to me. Lately I've been stuck on making boy birthday cards. Today's card is based on this Mojo Monday Sketch.

Are you ready for this.................................

Isn't it fun. I thought this was a cute stamp set when I saw it, but it's even more fun to work with. For this card I used washi tape as one of the layers. I know I've said it before, but Washi tape is so wonderful. It's so easy to work with and I love the look that it brings. I also used some of the stamps that come in this set to add some dimension. Last I finished it off with some Baker's twine and a button. Head on over to Mojo Monday and get your mojo on!!!

Happy Stamping!!!

Good Morning everyone!! Today's card is inspired by what I've been doing the last week. Canning!!!! Here's the fruit.........

and here's the card.......

This is one of my most favorite stamp sets ever!!!! I'm sad the that it's retired, but it still holds a dear place on my stamping shelf. And I love today's color combo. Yellow & Purple have always been a favorite combination. Using the bold colors of
Crushed Curry & Elegant Eggplant has been so fun.

Happy Stamping!!!!

Starburst Technique

Have you seen this technique every where? I have and I would look at it and think "How do they do that?" Well I found a blog that showed me how.

Here is my card I made today with the starburst technique.

Once I watched how to do this starburst thing, I couldn't believe how easy it was Here is the blog I went to. Don't these colors just scream winter. I think of Frostine from Candyland every time I look at them. Have you started on your holiday cards yet? It's only 2 1/2 months away, but who's counting:)

Happy Stamping!

Mojo Monday with a flip!

Today's sketch is a pretty simple one, but I liked that because it left a lot of room for interpretation. I decide to "flip out" and do the sketch on it's side.

Here's the picture

The stamp set is Timeless Talk. I think this is a very fun stamp set. It really takes you back. I paired the stamp set up with the Etcetera DSP. I think this combo screams Vintage!!! Head on over to the Mojo Monday and see what you create today.

Happy Stamping!!!

My little Washi Wonders

Ahhhhhhh! I love today's card. I went over to The Friday Mashup to play their challenge and this was the end result. Aren't they adorable?

The challenge was to use Washi Tape & make some 3x3 cards. Washi tape is awesome!! It's so easy to use, plus it's very forgiving. For all you perfectionists out there, washi tape is repositionable.  Plus, look at all the fun colors there. Stampin' Up sells their washi tape in collections. Who knew that the orange from the Halloween set and the green from the Christmas set would look so good with the pink & yellow.

The possibilities are endless!!!
Head on over to the Friday Mashup and play the Washi challenge.

Everything Elenor

When I first saw this stamp set, Everything Eleanor, I immediately fell in love. The problem, this stamp set is not my style at all. It's very vintage and that is an area I struggle with. Anyway, I decided to push forward and this is one card I have created it with it.
I know the picture is kind of small, but this card is all about layering. I also love, love , love the color scheme: Rose Red, Baja Breeze, & Tangerine Tango. Hopefully this card will inspire you to try something new today!

Happy Stamping!!

Batty for You

Wow!! What a weekend. We had a family reunion. Yesterday was full of cleaning and laundry so I finally feel like I'm put back together again. Anyway, today's card was inspired by none other than Mojo Monday.

I really liked this sketch.

I decided to make a Halloween card. I love making them, but I never give them out (LOL!) I guess I'll have to find an excuse to give one away.

It's a pretty basic card. I used the Witch's Brew DSP, Halloween Bash Stamp set and a button from the Halloween Banner Accessory Kit.

Speaking of the kit, if you haven't made a Halloween Banner, you need to. They are "Spook"tacular. Here is the one I made for my house.

It's really easy to make. Here's what you need to purchase:
-Build a Banner Simply Created Kit (133507)
-Halloween Banner Simply Created Accessory Kit (132698)
-Ink Pads: Basic Black, Pumpkin Pie, Summer Starfruit
-Sponge Daubers

That's IT!!!!!
If you have any questions, leave them in the comments and I will get them answered.

Banners, Buttons & Baby Oh! My!

So today's post is a scrapbook page I made of my little girl. Isn't she cute? I think so, but I am definitely bias. Anyway, I loved putting this page together. All the banners and buttons were a fun touch. Also a great way to use some of those "old" buttons lying around.
My other favorite thing about this page, is the color scheme. I chose to use Early Espresso, Pool Party, Raspberry Ripple & Summer Starfruit. Once again, I got this color combo from one of my daughters outfits. You can find inspiration anywhere!!!
What do you think?

Happy Stamping!!
